The Health Centre is seeking an upcoming leader as our new Financial Controller to support the mission and vision of the organization within a high functioning team.

Managing a 9.4‐million‐dollar budget, this position is primarily accountable for revenue management, financial reporting to various stakeholders, financial control and risk management, centre wide budget creation and maintenance. This position also oversees the Bookkeeping and Payroll function. Liaising with all levels of staff, multiple volunteers, external stakeholders, funders and municipal organizations requires professional tact and strong interpersonal skills. These skills will assist you in generating enthusiasm, inspiring competence and confidence, building consensus and maintaining integrity.

 Minimum Requirements

‐ Post Secondary education completed within the accounting field; required

‐ Good standing as a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA), formerly CA, CGA, CMA (or near completion); required

‐ 3‐5 years’ progressive experience in full cycle financial management; development, monitoring, reporting and audit; required

‐ Fluency in English; required

 We are especially interested if you have:

‐ Completed courses or certificates in financial management for nonprofit organizations;

‐ Non‐profit reporting experience;

‐ Experience forecasting organization and financial need, strategy development and proposal

‐ French language skills;

‐ Advanced proficiency with Microsoft GP, Accpac & EHT;

‐ Experience navigating federal and provincial legislation affecting charities, charitable status including CRA regulations;

‐ Experience with contract negotiation, RFP management, insurance maintenance;

‐ Payroll certification, experience.
