Program Coordinator

Women of the World is a volunteer peer leadership program that provides training to immigrant women and helps them develop a broad understanding of community so that they may help others work toward successful integration. As the Coordinator, you will identify immigrant communities in the London area that would benefit from peer led groups and develop, facilitate, and evaluate leadership training curriculum that will assist identified Peer Leaders to learn and share information with their communities. In addition to coaching, mentoring, and supervising Peer Leaders, you will provide supervision and learning opportunities to students. Working collaboratively with community stakeholders to create safe environments which facilitate access to services by culturally and linguistically diverse communities, you will advocate on behalf of clients to ensure that they receive the community supports, health and social services to which they are entitled.

With a background in project planning, development, implementation, and evaluation, you have proven expertise in curriculum development and delivery. Your experience working with interdisciplinary, multicultural teams is supported by expert knowledge of issues of immigrant communities related to successful integration, knowledge of collaborative decision making models, and a strength based philosophy of community development. Fluency in another language is an asset.
