Health Outreach Activity Ambassador: Volunteer Position

The Health Centre is looking for volunteers to help with new programs! We offer health and social services to people who are homeless, as well as those at risk of homelessness. One of our services includes daily scheduled activities and programs facilitated by staff and volunteers designed to promote wellness, harm reduction best practices, growth of emotional intelligence and community inclusion.

Responsibilities: To ensure positive client participation, volunteers will build relationships and engage with clients in a meaningful way. Volunteers will offer support to clients, staff and program facilitators by assisting with navigation, logistics and program coordination.

Qualifications: Experience or a passion for working with people who are experiencing homelessness, addictions and/or mental health issues. Volunteers must have strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work independently.

Time commitment: a minimum of twice a month morning 9:30-12:30 or afternoon 1:00-4:00 shifts.

An in person interview, reference checks and police screening is required.
