PEER SUPPORT TRAINING
This training is for people who have used mental health, substance abuse or poverty services. Participants will:
• Develop personal strengths
• Improve stress management and self care
• Learn how to communicate with different people
• Find new ways to solve problems
• Learn how to advocate for someone
• Learn interview skills
• Become a volunteer at the Health Centre
• Become a member of the Health Outreach Activity Council
• Apply for a position as a Peer Support Coach with the Health Centre
• Get more involved with Goodwill Employment Services
