At the Health Centre we take pride in serving our community.  One of the ways in which we do so is by providing opportunities for people to get involved in the communities that they belong to. The Health Centre also benefits from these connections because community members can ensure that we stay aware of the relevant issues affecting our clients. We have over 200 volunteers at the Health Centre and together they provide more than $300,000 in unpaid service every year.  Although impressive on its own, that dollar value does not even begin to reflect the collaboration, skill building and relationship development that volunteering promotes.  All of these benefits improve the overall livability of the areas in which we reside. The potential of each community can only be realized through the investment of those who care about it. This is why, for one week in April, we recognize those special people who donate their time for the greater good. Whether you are one of the 200

people volunteering at our centre, or one of the 12.5 million people across Canada who choose to donate their time, your efforts are felt, and the impact is significant. Thank you for helping us maintain vibrant, resilient communities!
