The London InterCommunity Health Centre offers a weekly SMART Recovery group, free to anyone in London! SMART (Self-Management And Recovery Training) Recovery is a self-help program for recovery from all types of addictive behavior, including alcohol abuse, substance abuse, problem gambling, emotional eating, etc. It is designed to support individuals who have either chosen to abstain or are considering abstaining or reducing any type of addictive behavior by teaching them how to change self-defeating thinking, emotions and actions, and to work towards long-term satisfaction and quality of life.

It is not a 12-step group like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA), although there are participants who attend those groups and find both models useful. SMART recognizes that recovery is not a linear process, and that while lapses are part of that journey, there are strategies that can keep a lapse from becoming a relapse.

The group is run every Monday from 6:30-8:00 pm at Unit 7 – 1355 Huron Street. Drop-in or call in advanced. For more information please contact Ted at 519-660-0874 ext 353.

It’s your life. Be in control again!
