The Options Clinic offers free, rapid, and anonymous HIV testing to individuals at increased risk of HIV. Our aim is to make HIV testing accessible and stigma-free for those who might otherwise delay or avoid it.
You do not need to provide your name, ID, or health card. Instead, you receive a six-digit testing number that is used throughout the process.
Who is this for?
Testing is open to all, but we focus on populations with increased risk of HIV, including:
- Gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (cis and trans)
- African, Caribbean, and Black communities
- Indigenous people
- People who inject drugs
- Women (cis and trans) who engage in high-risk activity
- Anyone with concerns about HIV exposure
What to Expect
- Anonymous Testing: No personal identifiers are recorded. You use a code number instead of your name.
- Rapid HIV Testing: Results available in 20 minutes, 99.97% accuracy.
- Standard Testing: Some clients may require a blood draw with results in approximately one week.

Hepatitis C Rapid Testing
Options Clinic also offers rapid hepatitis C testing by finger poke. This test checks for antibodies (exposure to Hep C) and provides results in about 15 minutes. This is not anonymous and requires your name and, if possible, your health card.
If the result is reactive, you will need a follow-up blood test to confirm active infection.
